Odisha Chief Secretary Visited AJSA Field Areas in Kalahandi

It was an absolute honour for us to host the high delegation of Government of Odisha, Led by- Shri.Pradeep Jena,IAS- Chief Secretary Governement of Odisha & Former Development Commissioner cum Agriculture Production Commissioner, Additional Chief Secretary, Government of Odisha, Shri.Arabinda Padhee, IAS- Principal Secretary, Department of Agriculture GoO and Farmers Empowerment, Sri.Rohit Lenka Director of Horticulture, and Ms. P. Anvesha Reddy,IAS Collector cum District Magistrate-Kalahandi and other Government officials in our APC Golamunda field on . 

While interacting with the women farmers from Maa Bastareni PG in Sanchergaon village. While appreciating the Cluster Farming and marketing mechanism of APC project, Shri. Pradeep Jena and Shri.Arabinda Padhi said -Collective Action by farmers are key to drive transformational change. They also expressed their happiness on the increasing number of farmers using drip irrigation and urged widespread adoption of such models to enhance the agricultural production of farmers.

During their interactions with farmers, they also discussed different APC activities i.e- different aspects of vegetable cluster development, drip irrigation, collective marketing, farmers’ income, departmental intervention etc. 

They admired different initiatives of women-led farmer PGs conducted under APC project by AJSA in joint Collaboration with BRLF &Pradan and also ensured all kinds of support to the PG farmers for their economic empowerment and upliftment.

During the occasion fruit and vegetable saplings were also distributed to the women farmers.
