While examining the root cause of poverty and backwardness, it was found that lack of access to safe drinking water is a major cause of ill health and loss of productivity. Having access to clean water, proper sanitation, and good hygiene practices are crucial for leading a healthy life and preventing diseases. Unfortunately, billions of people worldwide do not have reliable access to these basic necessities. Lack of access to improved sanitation facilities and contaminated drinking water sources are common problems faced by a significant portion of the global population. This can also affect their ability to grow food and raise livestock, which are essential for their survival and livelihood.
AJSA is actively working to improve access to and the sustainable management of existing water sources in vulnerable communities. We work tirelessly to improve water and sanitation systems and provide crucial hygiene education to communities in need. We collaborate with local CBOs, WASH committees to build new water and sanitation systems and provide training to local leaders to manage and repair these systems. We also promote healthy hygiene practices to prevent the spread of diseases. All of our efforts are grounded in protecting vulnerable groups and ensuring that everyone has access to clean water and safe sanitation to maintain good health.
