AJSA Recognised at Global Inclusive Disaster Management Conference

In July 2019, UN-Global Compact, National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), ONGC, and GAIL recognized the remarkable work of AJSA in the field of disaster risk reduction, climate change adaptation, and resilience building at Global Inclusive Disaster Management Conference (GIDMC) held in New Delhi.

Mr. Manoranjan Behera, received the award on behalf AJSA and also gave a technical presentation during a parallel session on Community Based DRR. The jury members and participants highly praised AJSA for its outstanding efforts in supporting vulnerable communities and empowering young people to become agents of change in the face of natural disasters and climate change.

It is noted that- AJSA has been working tirelessly to improve disaster preparedness and response, as well as promoting sustainable development and climate resilience in the most vulnerable areas of India. AJSA’s innovative approaches have had a significant impact on reducing the risks and consequences of disasters, as well as building the resilience of communities to future shocks and stresses.

The recognition from the UN-Global Compact, NDMA is a testament to the dedication and hard work of the AJSA team, as well as the impact they have made on the lives of people in need. It is also an inspiration to other organizations and individuals who are committed to making a positive difference in the world.
